'Although only two first favourites, Karapoti nn<l Soloist, won at Ellerslie yesterday, when tho Auckland Pacing Chili's Autumn Mooting was concluded, fill the winners were well supported nnd no dividend reached double figures. The weather was dull and light rain fell early in tho afternoon, lmt it did not affect the track, which provided good going. The attendance was larger than on the first, day, being estimated at 19,000. Tho totalisator handled £53,516 10s, compared with £78,765 on the second day last year, a decrease of £25,218 10s, or 32 per'cent. The first day's decrease was 34 per cent. The total investments for the meeting were £102,317, compared with £153/197 last year, a decrease of £51,180, or 33 per cent. The club's ghare of totalisator revenue is £7673, which falls short bv £1477 of tho amount given in stakes, £9150.
