LAST YEAR'S BIG DECREASE. The value of new building construction authorised in Ghrislchurch in the financial year ended March 31 was the lowest for nine years, Amounting to £575,163, as compared with £822,378 in the previous year, n drop of £247,215. It is necessary io go back to the 1921-22 year to find n total lower than that for the past venr. In 1921-22 the value represented was £473,978, but in the following year it jumped to £649,066.
