FRACTURE OF THE- SKULL. A fractWe of the skull was received by lan Chisholm Burton, aged 8, of 13, Rewa Road, Mount Eden, as a result of being knocked down by a passenger bus at the corner of Khyber Pass Road and Grafton Road, shortly before five o'clock last evening. The boy, who had crossed the road to make some purchases in a shop, was on his way back to a waiting car when the accident occurred. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital and an operation was performed. At a late hour last evening his condition was serious.
