LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
ANNUAL MEETINGS HELD. THE CITY CLUB'S SEASON. About 76 members attended the annual meeting of the City Rugby League Football Club,' Mr. George Davidson presiding. The report stated that the club's chance to win the championship last season was spoilt- by the fact ' that four members were selected for the Australian tour. Lower grade teams had performed creditably, especially the fourth grade and tho schoolboys. The bal-ance-sheet showed a credit balanco of £33 10s 6d. ' _ . The following officer* were elected:—President,, Mr. C. Wo ugh; vice-presidents, eame as last year, with power to add; secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. Ashcr; assistant-sec-retnry, Mr. F. Kennedy; temporary delegate. Mr. W. J. Davidson; junior management delegate, Mr. F. Kennedy; hon. auditor, Mr. E. J. Phelan; club captain, Mr. M. Wetherill. With a view to having all tho grades represented, the appointment of the executive committee was deferred. RICHMOND CLUB. The annual meeting of tho Richmond Rugby Leaguo Football Club was held in the presence of 100 members. Mr. W. A. Swift presided. The report showed that the club had i'2 teams in the League competition, four of which won championships. The balance-sheet showed that the club's finances were in a sound position. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. B. W. Davis, sen.; vicepatron, Mr. J. Redwood; president, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth; vice presidents, same as last year, with power to add: chairman, Mr. B. W. Davis,- deputy-chairman, Mr. W. A. Swift; delegate to junior management committee, Mr. W. Milicich; secretary and treasurer. Mr. K. Menzies; assistant-secretary, Mr. W. A. Swift; delegate to school board, Mr. F. Thompson; club captain, Mr. J. A. Redwood; auditor, Mr; J. A. Redwood. During the evening the patron. Mr. B. W. Davis, presented the club trophies to the various winners, as follows;—Lauder Cup, fourth grade; Milicich Cup, seventh grade A team; Walker Shield, second grade; trophy to schoolboys, who tied for first place. NEWTON CLUB. There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Newton Rugby League Football Club. Mr. W. Badley presided over a large attendance. Tho following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. W. Monteith; vice-patron, Mr. A. Blakey; president, Mr. J. A. Lee: secretary, Mr. M. Paton; treasurer, Mr. P. Henry; committee, Messrs. G. Steven, N. Wood, A. McLeod, S. Francis, R. Kirkup, W. Badley, R. Middleton. DEVONPORT CLUB. The annual meeting of the Devonport Rugby League Club will be held next Monday at 7.30 p.m. GOOD SEASON AT TAUPIRI. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAUPIRI, Wednesday. The balance-sheet presented at tho annual meeting of the Taupiri League Football Club showed a good credit from last season. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr. A. H. Waring; president. Mr. C. E. Wilson; secretary-treasurer, Mr. F. Marshall: "trustees, Messrs. R. T. Hill, C. E. Wilson. S. J. Wilson and"A. Waring; delepates to South Auckland Xjengue, Messrs. S. <T. Wilson. M. Wilson and T. Aubrey.
