LARGE CATCH OF OIL.

WORLD'S RECORD REPORTED

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] INVERCAROILL,. Tuesday.

The whale chaser Star 10 arrived at Bluff at noon from the Ross Sea. The Sir James Clark Ross, with a fleet of chasers, proceeded to Stewart Island, where they arrived safely. The delay in the return of the fleet was caused by the breaking of a tailshaft and the loss of a propeller on the Star 14, which had to be towed to port.

Tho Sir James Clark Ross is reported to have over 100,000 barrels of oil—a world's record catch.
