CANBERRA CONFERENCE
PROCEEDINGS FUTILE.
STATE PREMIERS CRITICAL. CANBERRA, Feb. 7. The State representatives ab the financial conference described the whole proceedings as futile, and serious doubts were expressed whether anything would be achieved by it. There is strong criticism of the manner in which tho conference was conducted. It is stated that there was not even an agenda paper, and the Ministers had nothing definite placed before them for discussion.
Relating to the proposed three-years plan, the Premier of New South Wales, Mr. J. T. Lang, said: "So far I have not heard a word about a plan, and I have come to the conclusion that tho Government has no plan."
