CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.

Auckland.—There was a continuation of fine summer weather during the weekend, the wind being light, and variable. The barometer was practically steady at 30.00 in.

Wellington.—lt has been sunny with a a light southerly breeze on both days of. the week-end. There were passing clouds yesterday. Christchurch. —The weather over the week-end has been perfect with warm sunshine and a light easterly breeze. Dunedin.—The weather was fine and pleasant on Saturday, with a light wind from the north-east , and a maximum temperature of 70 degrees. The barometer rose during the day. Conditions were again ideal yesterday, with little wind. The barometer was stiLl nsm* and read 30.20 in. last evening.
