HERNE BAY OUTLET.

Sir, —It is beyond the understanding <>f hundreds of residents of Hcrno Bay why men who arc seeking work arc not starting to make tho much-needed outlet from Waitomata Street to Victoria Park. The City Council is spending money in cutting grass and weeds in the Domain and other places. This and other expenditures would bo better spent by giving these hundreds an outlet, info tho city instead of having to risk their lives going down Those dangerous steps, especially in wet weather. A previous writer predicted that we will get these, few chains of continuation and street formation after sonic person is killed by slipping through the present ladder, which is a disgrace to those who aro responsible for town planning and improvements in tho cilv.
