TENDERS IN BRITAIN.
MARKETING BOARD'S CAMPAIGN
LONDON, Jan. 6
The Empire Marketing Board recently made a special canvass of local authorities with a view to getting those who call tenders for the supply of commodities to public institutions to stipulate '"Home or Empire products only." The Secretary of State for tho Dominions, Mr. J- H. Thomas, tho chairman, savs the result is extremely encouraging, and tho board is now canvassing Yorkshire and Lancashire shopkeepers with a view to increasing the consumption of Home and Empire brands of butter.
