OBITUARY.

MRS. ANNE RALLS. The death has occurred, after a long illness, of Mrs. Anno Ralls, of Ellerslie. Mrs. Ralls, who was the second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Scandrett. was born at Mullet Point in 1866, and married Mr. Herbert. Ralls in 1892. They lived at Mount Albert for six years and then took up farming in the Manurewa district, where they remained until their retirement and removal to Ellerslie in 1920. Mrs. Ralls was an active worker in the Church of England at both Manurewa and Ellerslie. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Mr. H. G. Ralls, of Ardmore, and Mr. E. T. Ralls, of Manurewa. MR. WILLIAM HANDCOCK. The death has occurred at his residence at Ararimu of Mr. William Charles Handcock, aged 64 years. Mr. Handcock was born in England and camo to New Zealand with his parents about 55 years ago. Tho family settled ai Christchurch whore Mr. Handcock. became a saddler. He later moved to tho North Island and lived for somo years at Patea, where he married. About 15 years :\go he came to Auckland and took up farming at Ararimu, where lio resided until his death. He is survived by his wife. MRS. JANE GORDON HEDLEY. [f>Y TELEGRAPH.—OWN COIUIESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI, Thursday. The death has occurred at Opotiki of Mrs. Jane Gordon lledley. Mrs. llediey was born in Aberdeen in July, 1854. In 1881 sho came to New Zealand and resided with her uncle, tho late Mr. John Gordon, until 1883, when sho married tho late Mr. A. lledley, who was engaged in farming until ho died in 1903. In 1919 Mrs. lledley handed over tho management of tho farms to a son and camo to live in Opotiki. Sho is survived by two sons Messrs. J. H. lledley, of Waharoa, and Robert Hodley, of Opotiki, and two daughters, Mrs. E. G. Appleton, of Dargavillo and Mrs. C. W. Aidney, of Tonga. There are 19 grandchildren.
