NEW MEASURE IN BRITAIN. SPECIAL POLICE FORCE. (Received December 29. 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless. RUGBY, Dec. 28. The provisions of the new Road Traffic Act, abolishing the speed limit and establishing compulsory third party insurance, will /come into force on Thursday next. To deal with ofiences such as dangerous driving and neglect of signals, a special force of police, mounted on motor-bicycles and /using fast cars, is being organised. A thousand patrols are expected to be in service by January 1, and about 300 will be on the roads in the London district tcmc/rrow.
