TRAWLER'S GOOD CATCH.

FISH FROM WEST COAST.

THIRTY TONS IN 3* DAYS.

Good results were obtained by the -Auckland trawler Thomas Currell as the result of her first visit to the west coast fishing grounds for the summer season. The trawler left Auckland early last week for the long trip round the North Cape and although she had only three and a-half days' fishing she brought about 30 tons of fish into Onehunga on Tuesday. The results are very much better than have been obtained outside the Hauraki Gulf since the trawlers were forced to go outside the summer limit line on November 16. As it is apparent that fish are still reasonably plentiful on the west coast the Thomas Currell will continue, to work those waters for the present. The patch which she has been working is not very far from the Manukau Heads, and a3 she will spend almost a week on the grounds on her future trips the catches should be even bettor than that just secured.
