NEW LYNN BOROUGH.
TENDERS FOR WATER SCHEME. The New Lynn Borough Council met on Monday evening, tho deputy-mayor, .Mr. G. Law son, presiding. Mr. E. V. Blake submitted a draft town-planning scheme. It was decided to go more fully into the matter when amandmonts have been embodied in the plan.
The following tenders were accepted for ♦he reticulation of a portion of the Kclston Estate with water: —Supply of pipes, 11. Buckland, £759 lis 8d; excavating and back-fllling, Spearpoint and others, £92 15s/; pipe-laying, Michel) and Dyson, £59 7s 9d; total amount, including extras, £1247 7s 9d. The Secretary to the Treasury notified Ibat consent had been given the council to borrow £IBOO. being New Lynn's sliaro of the cost of constructing the new bridge «ver the Whan.
