VILLAGE MOB'S VIOLENCE. CASUALTIES IN CLASHES. (Received December 5, 8.35 p.m.) DELHI, Dec. 4. Two attacks upon the police were made this week by villagers in the Saran district of Bihar and Orissa. The police were assisting in the collection of taxes and were compelled to fire in order to disperse the mob of several thousands armed with spears who surrounded them. One rioter was killed and several were injured. Some constables and horses were hurt.
