Mr. William Watson, ;i director of the Bank of New Zealand, returned to Wellington by the Maunganui yesterday after a visit to England, states a Press Association message.
Mr. VV. Wallace, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board,' left. for. Wellington last evening to attend a meeting of the executive of tho Hospital Boards' Association, of which La is chairman.

Bishop Sadlier while walking in the grounds at Bishopdale, Nelson, stumbled and hurt a foot rather seriously, necessitating medical attention. He was able to attend the opening of Synod, but had to sit while reading hi:s presidential address. The next day Bishop Sadlier was confined to his bed, having-been ordered complete rest.
