DISCUSSION BY ALLIANCE

Referenre to drinking by young people at dances was made at a meeting of the Auckland council of the New Zealand Alliance on Monday evening. It, was stated that it, was illegal to sell liquor to persons under 21, hut boys and girls from 15 to IB years could procure liquor at dances, apparently without any restrictions. It, was decided to urge the authorities to discouraße such drinking and to check tho supply of liquor to young people.
