PALESTINE MANDATE.

ATTITUDE OF BRITAIN. SEEKING AN AGREEMENT. British Wireless. RUGBY, Nov. 16. Doubts having been expressed as to the compatibility of some of the passages in the White Paper on Palestine of October 21, with certain articles in the mandate, and other passages having proved liable to misunderstanding, the British Government invited representatives of the Jewish Agency to confer with it on these matters.

Tho Government strongly desired to secure a correct interpretation of the mandate and its impartial administration. It is hoped that an agreement will be reached on any points of difference, when a further statement about those issues will be made.
