FLIGHT OF THE DO. X.
ALTERATION IN PLANS.
CURTAILMENT EXPECTED. FOGS REGARDED AS DANGER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received November 17, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON", Nov. 10. The. Berlin correspondent of the Daily Express states that, although the German flying-boat Do. X is likely to continue her flight, as far as the Azores, the idea of a transatlantic flight practically* has been abandoned. Several incidents which occurred in the preliminary stages of the journey have caused the designer of (lie machine to reconsider the entire project. The present period of the year is extremely foggy and it is considered to be too risky to attempt to refuel the Do. X in mid-ocean. A message from Bordeaux says the French police were called out at Ihe instance of Dr. Dornier to guard the flying-boat, which was in danger from a great crowd of souvenir-hunters. To-morrow 50 Frenchmen are to be taken on a short flight.
