FRENCH PROSPERITY.
AUSTRALIANS SEEK WORK. LONDON, Nov. 6. Attracted apparently by reports of France's prosperity, ft number of Australians have gone to Paris with hopes of securing employment. With their funds almost exhausted, as many as 12 a week recently called on the Australian Trade Representative in Paris, Mr. Yoss. Foreigners cannot work in France without a special permit. Openings for employment are extremely limited, except for manual labourers, who are being recruited in,- great numbers from Italy, Spain, Belgium, Poland and other countries.
