AKARANA CLUB'S SEASON. The satisfactory financial progress made by Ihe Akarana Yacht Club was emphasised nt the annual meeting last eveninp. Tho commodore, Mr. T. McKay, presided over n large attendance. Tho chairman recalled that six years apo the club was without assets. Last year there was a deficit of 1'172 and tin o'verdraft of £9O. Since thon remarkable progress had been made and the balance-sheet now showed a credit of £144 with u balance of assets over Habit'ties of £1719. The election of officers resulted as follows -Patron.
