The I.lth annual sale of pedigree cullle, conducted by the Waikato Combined Breeders' Association, wan opened at Claudelanda to-day, in the presence of a. fair number of buyers. There was a poor demand in the Kncsian classes, only IS out of the catalogued offering o' 57 being sold, at, an average price of about 111 guineas. The top price for the breed was 2t guineas, paid for the two-year-old bull Bracken Trojan Lad, bred by Whewell Bros.. Tamahcre. The siv Bed Poll* offered found no buyers. Of the nine Ayrshiies offered four weie sold at an average of 18] guineas, the top price being 25 guineas, paid bv Mr. F. G. Sou I hen ot Te P >i. for Mr. I'. Bremner'.s Glenhope Challenger. The <leniaiid for Shorthorns win more satisfactory, of (lie fi catalogued being sold at an average price of a boil t 20 guinea. l *. Mis. M.
