AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.
YOUTH KICKED BY HORSE. MAN STRUCK BY TAXICAB. Severe injuries to the face, including a fracture of the jaw and concussion, were received by a boy aged 16 years, Cornelius McGrath, a farm hand employed at Henderson Valley, when lie was kicked by a horse on Saturday afternoon. No ono witnessed tho accident, and the injured youth does not remember what occurred. Apparently the horse had lashed out just as he approached it. Tho youth was brought to the Auckland Hospital, where ho was admitted. His condition was stated last evening to be not serious.
As he was crossing the street at tiie intersection of Wellesley Street West and Vincent Street early on Saturday evening, an elderly man, Mr. Frank Ward,.aged 66, whose home is at 146, Hobson Street, was knocked down by a taxicab. Mr. Ward was taken by (he St. John Ambulance to tlie Auckland Hospital suffering from concussion. Last evening his condition was stated to bo not serious.
A cyclist, Harry Munce. aged 15. whose parents live at 27, Baliuain Road. Birkenhead, hurt his back and received internal injuries when his machine collided with a post at the side of the road near his homo early last evening. He was taken by the Dcvonport ambulance to the hospital, where his condition was stated later in the evening to be not serious. As the result of a fall down a flight of stairs at her home at 86, Brown Street, Ponsonby, on Satuidav afternoon, Mrs. Margaret Lee, aged 93, received concussion. She was taken to the hospital where her condition was stated last evening to be not serious.
