MISS MARIE NEY.

MARRIAGE IN LONDON. HUSBAND A RUBBER PLANTER. LONDON. August 12. Miss Marie Ney, formerly of New Zea land, who at present is playing the role of Milady in "Tlie Three Musketeers," at Drury Lane Theatre, has married Mr. T. Menzies, a Scottish rubber planter, who resides in Malaya. Mr. Menzies won the Singapore Gold Cup in 1926 with a mare named after his bride. Mrs. T. Menzies (Miss Marie Ney) was born in Chelsea, London, in July, 1895. She came to New Zealand as a child and was educated at St. Mary's Convent, Wellington. She made her first appearance on the stage at the Princess' Theatre, Melbourne, on November 4, 1916, in "The Taming of the Shrew" with Mr. Alan Wilkie's Shakespearean Company. She had a successful career in Australia under various managements arid made her first appearance on the English stage at the Brixton Theatre on August 27, 1923, in "The Marriage of Kitty" with Miss Marie Tempest. She appeared in various parts rt{. England until 1927, when she went to Egypt with Mr. Robert Atkins' Shakespearean Company, playing leads. Since her return to England she has been regularly engaged at many of the London theatres in a varied repertoire.
