PRIVATE STANDS.
OVERLOOKING EDEN PARK.
OWNERS' RIGHTS QUESTIONED,
The light of persons to erect stands on. private property adjoining Eden Park was questioned at the meeting of the Mount. Albert BorougH Council last evening. The building inspector stated that the stands recently, erected .had been removed, but', there were some structures standing : which had been erected for years, and 1 which, he said, were encroaching 3ft. on 1 ' the Eden Park property. , " This is not a matter for us to bother about," said Mr. J. H. Langley. " I think it is for the park authorities to. deal with. The owners of adjoining property could build six-storeyed buildings ' if they wanted to and I do not see how an injunction against them could be procured. Of course' encroachment is a different thing." TII6 matter was referred.to a committea* for a report. ■ >
