ACTIVITY OF THIEVES.
VISIT PAID TO THEATRE. SUM OF £126 SECURED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Thieves on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning entered tho office of the Liberty Theatre in Cathedral Square and stole £126, the takings for Saturday, from the safe. They used a key that had been inadvertently left on the desk. ROBBERY IN A SHOP. QUANTITY OF STOCK TAKEN. [BY TELEGRAFH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PAHIATUA, Monday. The stationery and fancy goods shop of Mr. P. E. Wingfield was entered by a burglar during the week-end. Entrance was made by a back door. A quantity of goods was disarranged, and about £2O worth of articles was taken.
