The fourlli At Homo of (ho year in connection with St. John's ladies' social committee at Papatoetoc was held on Thursday afternoon in tho Presbyterian School Hall. .Mis. T. H. Rosevcare, president ot (ho riipatoetoc. branch of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union, presided. The hall was decorated with golden wattle and Iceland poppies. Stalls were in charge ot the following:—Mesdames Muir. Hunter and Wells, produce: Misses M. Foster and J. Knight, sweets. The programme included songs by Mesdames Quiii, Jellard, I'ayter and Mr. Salter; duets by Mesdames I'avtet and Willis, Mr. Salter and Dr. J. j. Valentine; elocutionary items by Miss I!. Kirkbride and Miss Leah Rosevcare and a character song by_ the Rev. T. 11. Rosevcare. Afternoon tea was in .charge of Mesdames J. McFarland and A. W. Hall.
