DANCE AT HOWICK.
In aid of funds to improve pavilion accommodation, tho llowiek 1' ootb.ill Club held a very successful dance in the Public Hall on Tuesday evening. Kindred clubs were well represented. Tho hall was gaily decorated with nikau palms and blue and gold streamers, the club's colours, and the supper table was arranged with violets and golden yellow jonquils. Tho music was supplied by the Carnival Five Jazz Baud and extias were played by Messrs. Johnson and Bonus. Monte Carlo dance winners were: Miss Newton and Miss Wyman. In charge of the arrangements were Mi L. White and Mr. W. Johns. Among those present were:—Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Gandy, Mrs. R. l'aton. Mrs. J. Nicholas. Mrs. Donovan.
