TRAM CONDUCTOR INJURED.

HEAD STRIKES CENTRE POLE. Severe concussion and head injuries were received by a tram conductor, Mr. Alfred OUo Speck, aged 52, when ho slipped on the platform of a Heme Day trnmear and struck his head against a centre pole in Jervois Road shortly after five o'clock Inst, evening. The injured man, who resides at 9, Warwick Street, Morningside, was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. At a late hour last evening his condition was reported as satisfactory.
