HEAVY FALL OF SNOW.
REPORT FROM ASHBURTON.

The heaviest snowfall since 1925 was reported in the country districts last evening. The fall ranged from 6in. at Alford Forest, at (he foot of the hills, to a sprinkle just outside the boiough. Plight sunshine to day quickly thawed the snow.
