WEDDINGS.
DANE-GRAY. At the Roman Catholic Mission Church (if Waitnruke, Whangaroa, the marriage was celebrated of Miss Violet Irene Gray, third daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. ,lames Gray, of IJerne Hill, Geelong, Victoria, to Mr. Edward William Dane, oldest, sou of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dane, of Kaeo. Whangaron, and late of Onehunga. The Beverend Father Stephen JO'Callaghan performed the ceremony. Tlio bride, who entered thp church with Mr. 11. 11. Fryer, wore a frock of ivory georgette over an underdress of shell pink crepe dc chine, made with a semi-fitting bodice of silver lace, the skirt falling to the ankles in godets of silver lace and georgette. Her Brussels net veil, em- ' broidered in silver and lined with shell pink tulle, was arranged with a coronet of orange blossom, from which it, fell to form a train. A shower bouquet of carnations, chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern was carried. Also from her arm hung a silver horseshoe, a gift from her sister in Geelong. The bridesmaid, Miss Jessie I Dane, wore a frock of Nile green satin ! beautp, falling in deep flares to the ankle, and carried a sheaf of golden chrysanthemums. ITer head dress was of tulle to tone with the frock. Miss Eyla Dane, who attended as flower girl, wore a frock of mauvo crepe de chine and silver lace. She carried a posy of violets, mauve stock and salvia. Her head-dress was of tulle to tone. The best man and groomsman were Messrs. J. and Frank Dane, respectively, brothers of the bridegroom. After tho ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's parents.. NEW—CLEMOES. The marriage was celebrated in St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday of Miss Bertha Clemoes, only daughter of Mrs. C. and tho late Mr. W. G. Clemoes. formerly of Haw era, to Mr. Albert New, eldest son of Mr. A. Xew and the late Mrs. New, also formerly of Hawera, Tirana ki. The Rev. Canon Grant, Cowen performed the ceremony and the wedding music was played by Mr. J. H. T'hilpotr. The bride wore, a frock of shell pink chenille and georgette. The Early '\ ietorian bodice, close-fitting, was of chenille and the skirt of georgette, which was made of six full petals which fell almost to the ground at the back. Each petal was bordered with silk net and edged with satin ribbon. The sleeves, which were close-fitting to the elbow, ending in a full georgette" bell, were finished with tho same edging to harmonise. A veil and train of pale pink net were held in place with orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of pale pink sweet peas, carnations and maidenhair fern. The chief bridesmaid was Miss K. New, sister of the bridegroom, and with her were Miss .lovce Codd, cousin of the bride, and Miss Thelma Newbold. They wore respectively frocks of lemon, powder blue and lilac georgette, made with long, closefitting bodices and long peaked skirls edged with silk tulle, tneir head-dresses being in tulle to match their frocks. They carried bouquets to tone. The little flower girl, Joan Cooke, wore, a frock oi rainbow' tulle. Mr. D. Bromfield was best man and the groomsmen Messrs. James and Whitaker Bickerton. Mr. P. S. Newbold gave the bride away. A receptior was held later at the Masonic Hall, Eder Terrace, where the guests were, welcomed by the. bride's mother, who wore, a blacl georgette frock, and black satin coat with hat to tone. PI ft HIT—B ARAYJ C K Th>' wedding was quietly celebrated in St. Barnabas' Church, Mount Eden, recently of Miss Kathleen Jngc-borg Barwick, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. IT. Bar wick, of To Wern, Taranaki, to Mr. David Andre,v Pin it, fourth son of Mrs. and the lato Mr. A. J. Pin it, of Kiwitahi, Morrinsville. The He v. I'. G. Harvey performed the ceremony. The bride, who was giver, away by her father, wore a frock of accordeon-pieated powder bhio georgette made with a capo effect falling from tho shoulders behind. Her close-fitting hat, pleated at the back of the neck, was of gold tissue, and she carried a shower bouquet in golden shades, j In attendance was Miss Annie Homciton, of Hamilton, cousin of the bride, who wore a picture frock of pale pink floral georgette with a tissue hat, and carried a. bouquet to tone. Mr. Hector Pirrit attended his brother as best man. After tho ceremonv a reception was held at the homo of Mrs. W. Davenport, of Epsom, where Mrs. Davenport received her guests wearing a frock of black floral xunon. "Mrs Barwick, mother of the bride, wote a floral georgeite frock in autumn tints, and a close-fitting black hat. She earned a posy to tone. Mrs. A. J. Pirrit was ni navy civpe do cliiiu*.
