CELTIC'S SURPRISE WIN.

Y.M.C.A. STILL UNBEATEN. 'Hie Auckland Football Association's senior grade championship was resumed on Saturday, only three games being played owing to the inability of Tramways lu field a side. Some good football was witnessed at lil.mdford Park, where Y.M.C.A. gained an easy win over Corinthians in if 10 curtain-raiser game, while Celtic snalched u narrow victory from Punsollby in the principal fixture. PONSONBY JUST BEATEN. Celtic showed fine staying powers in the closing stuges of tlie match against Pounoniiy, aim snatched a popular victory. Ponsonby went to the foro in the early exchanges, with a series o£ incisive raids which had the Celtic defences troubled. Hull almost let his sido in for a couple of goals through faulty handling, but the danger was finally averted and the Hunter brothers led Celtic in a, pretty movement which reduced the Ponsonby defence to ribborw, and A. Hunter crossed for Jerrim to move in opportunely and net. Celtic did not hold its advantage for long, for Ponsonby became more determined in its efforts, und Stewart battled his w/iy through and scored with a fine shot.
