MR. JOSIAH KEYS.
NEARLY 101 YEARS OLD.

Mr. Josiah Keys, of Toiro, South Otago, will celebrate his lOlsfc birthday on July 50. He is still in good health, ia spite of his advancing years, and is looking forward to the event with pleasure.
Mr. Keys was born in Donemana, County Tyrone, on July 50 ; 1829, and after a few somewhat strenuous and adventurous years in America came to New Zealand in 3880. He farmed in th« Southland and Toiro districts for a number of years, and later went to Ba!i'lntha» where he lived for some years, prior to going to live with his daughter-in-law at Toiro. Mrs. C. G. Crosse, of Broad Street, today celebrated her 100 th birthday, when she received congratulations from many parls of the Dominion. She was born m Essex in 1850.
Mrs. Crosse arrived iu New Zealand in 1841, her parents settling in Welling* ton. On marrying she lived m Hawke's Bay, her husband being cn * gaged in farming at Walpukurati and Porangahau. On the death of her husband Mrs. Crosse lived at Napier and also at Wanganui and Dannevirke.
