WEATHER IN JUNE.
UNSETTLED CONDITIONS.
RAINFALL BELOW AVERAGE.
The -weather during June was typically unsettled. The prevailing sonth-westerly winds kept the temperatures fairly cold, and on Saturday and Sunday last frosts were experienced in tbo suburbs. The worst weather of the month was about June 20, when there was an easterly storm. Tho rainfall, 4.24 in., svas .48in. below the Juno average. Rain fell on 22 days, the heaviest fall being on June 20, with 1.86 in. during tho 24 hours. Tho maximum was 8 hours 5 minutes on the 28th. Tho total for tho month was 105 hours 10 minutes. There were two days without sunshine. The mean maximum temperature in tho shade was 60deg., and the mean minimum 47deg. The coldest day was on tho 29th, when tho temperature was 36deg. The temperature on the grass was 31deg. The mean barometric pressure was 30.063 in., the highest reading being 30.432 in. on the 28th, and tho lowest 29.448 in. on the 23rd.
