OFFICERS OF THE LEGION.

The annual, conference of the Legion of Fron&irsmen passed a resolution against the proposed reduction in tho Government allocations to tho maintenance of the military system. Officers were elected ,as follows Commandant, Lieutenant-Colonel C, H. Weston (Now Plymouth); chief of staff, Major Bertrand" (New- Plymouth) ; commissioner, Captain E. D'Esterre (Auckland). f Tho next conference will bo held at Auckland.
