ATTEMPT ON KANCHENJUNGA BAFFLED BY ICE WALLS. (British Wireless.) Times Cable. RUGBY, June 27. In. the course of an address to tha Rotary Club at Calcutta Mr. F. S. Smythe, a member of, the Kancbenjunga expedition, said he believed Kanchenjuoga would ultimately be climbed, bat not in this generation. They had tried every route offering a chance of approach, but everywhere they were baffled by tho ice walls, which broke off in enormous masses of millions of tons. - "
