Tho following letter has been forwarded to "The Times Literary Supplement":— May wo appeal to tho admirers of tho novels of Henry Kingsley to assist us in collecting the modest sum of money necessary to erect a worthy monument on his gravo at Guckfio.ld, Sussex ? Wo have reason to believe that, particularly in Great Britain and in Australia, there are many people who, in gratitude for tho pleasure givoti them by " Geoffrey Hamlin," " Ravonshoe," j" Mademoiselle Mathilde," " The Boy in Grey," and other of Henry Kingslev's stories, will bo glad of this opportunity to ;pay a tribute to his memory 1 .
