THE VALUE OF BRAN.
Bran is an excellent material in which to pack delicate china and glass during moving operations, the bran" aftorwards being used to make brari-water, or being mixed with meal to make a warm food mash for poultry. For dry-cleaning furs, easy chairs covered with cretoncs, and tho like, two largo bowls of bran should bo heated in the. oven, and tho warm bran rubbed well into the fur or other article to be cleaned, working it in thoroughly with tho finger-tips. One. bowl of bran should be used while the other is boing warmed up. Afterwards tho dry bran should be brushed off and tho treatment repeated if necessary. Suedo shoes, etc., may be cleaned by making a paste of benzine and bran, coating tho shoe:! with this (work ing out-of-doors), leaving until dry, finally shaking and brushing tho shoes. !
