RICOCHETING BULLET.
BOY AND GIRL STRUCK. A remarkable shooting accident occurred on the mountains at the back of Bulli Pass, New South Wales, recently. A rifle accidentally exploded, and the bullet struck a waterpipe, ricocheted, and then wounded a boy and a girl. A party of three girls and two boys left Woonona on an overland tramp through the mountains, and a repeating rifle was laid down while the . party rested near a water supply pipe line. A girl named Nixon picked the rifle up and it exploded. Clifford Roberts, of Hurlstone Park, was wounded in the face, and was taken to Sydney Hospital. Ruth Jannetfc was also struck in the face, and was taken to Bulli Hospital. The wounded boy and girl, assisted by their companions, had to walk several miles through rugged country to secure assistance.
