INVESTIGATIONS IN HAND. EARLY PROPOSALS LIKELY. [BT TELEG2APH- —SPECIAL KEPOHTE&. ] WELLINGTON, Thursday. "Tha whole matter in regard to the timber industry is being investigated and no donbt proposals will be brought before the House this session," said the Prime Minister in the House to-day, when replying to an argent question asked by Sir. H_ M. Campbell (Hawke's Bay), whether the Government would take immediate action in regard to the damping of Oregon pine.
