JUNIOR SILVER BAND.
GOOD YEAR AT WHANGAREI. [BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] WHANGAREI, "Wednesday. At the annual meeting of tho Whangarei Municipal Junior Silver Band last evening it was stated that tho financial position of tho band was on a sound footing. The assets exceeded the liabilities by £194. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Hon. A. ,7. Murdoch; president, Mr., D. A. McLean; secretary, Mr. C. S. Solomon; treasurer, Mr. E. Boyd; auditor* Mr. R. Roseinan; committee, Mesdames Humphries and Patterson, and Messrs. D. Shankland, E. Baigent and E. Carrington; band sergeant, K. Wilson.
