PLUNKET SOCIETY.

WAIUKU BRANCH. At the first annual meeting of tho Waiuku branch of the Plunket Society a very satisfactory report was presented by tho secretary. The branch was well established and good results had been obtained since its inauguration. Tho canvassing for members was carried out by (lie committee and a total of 150 annual subscribers was obtained. There was also a very good response for donations, I lie result being that the finances of the branch are very satisfactory. Nurse Williams attends at the Wesley Hall every Friday to advise mothers on the caro and feeding of their babies. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs. Bloomfield; vice-presidents, Mesdames Ducker and James; secretary, Mrs. N. R. McElwain; treasurer, Miss J. Duthie.
