WEDDINGS.

BAER—MANN". Tlio wedding took place recently at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Cambridge, of Miss Muriel Gladys Catherine Mann, third daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. W. E. (Tottie) Mann, to Mr. Edward Arthur Baer, eldest son of Mrs. M. E. Baer, of Cambridge, and the late Mr. E. Baer, of Kopaki. The Rev. Jas. Hay officiated, and Mr. A. Towsey played the ivedding music. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Owen Millar, wore a frock of ivory satin beauto with chenille lace overdress. Her veil, which was fastened with a coronet of orange blossom, formed a train, and she carried a white shower bouquet. The three bridesmaids were Miss Eileen Whittington (Auckland), who wore a frock of shell pink georgette with uneven hemline, and a shell pink tulle hat; Miss Sarah Millar (Auckland), apricot satjn with triple-tiered skirt and tulle hat; and Miss Ida Baer, sister of the bridegroom, in a three-tiered frock of powder blue georgette and tulle hat. They carried shower bouquets to tone with their frocks. The two little flower girls were Aylenne Webb and Delma McGeehan, of Auckland, nieces of the bride. They wore mauve and lemon georgette frocks respectively, with tulle headdresses to match, each carrying a Victorian posy. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Robert Clarence Mann, of Hamilton, brother of the bride, Mr. George Lye and Mr. Les Everitt, of Cambridge. A reception was afterwards held in the Regent Hall, Mrs. L. Webb receiving her guests in a beige costume with felt hat to tone. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. M. E. Baer, was in a navy crepe de chine frock with hafc to tone. BAKER—FAGAN. The wedding was celebrated at Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrinsville, of Miss Hazel Evelyn Fagan, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S- Fagan, of Motumaoho, to Mr. Allan William Baker, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Baker, of Newstead. The Rev. J. H. Stevens officiated. The church was artistically decorated by members of the Motumaoho Bible Class. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe satin and georgette, with long georgette sleeves. The skirt was made with two tiered flares, with uneven hemline drooping to the ankles at the back, and finished with a wide sash and orange blossoms at the side. Her long embroidered tulle veil was held in place ! with sprays of orange blossom, and she ! carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and narcissi. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Fagan, sister of the bride, wore a frock of green georgette, with sleeveless bodice, trimmed with ruching. The full skirt, scalloped at the bottom, dipped at the back and was trimmed with little pink bows. Her hat, of green felt to tone, was trimmed with pink. The little flower girl, Edna Stark, wore a frock of pink georgette, the bodice of which was trimmed with tucks and the skirt with tiny frills. Her hat was to match. Mr. Harold Baker was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held, Mrs. Fagan receiving her guests wearing a frock of brown wool crepe de chine, trimmed with pale apricot silk crepe de chine and brown felt hat to match. HENWOOD—SMITH. The wedding was celebrated at Ohaeawai recently of Miss Edith Mary Smith, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Smith, of Pakura, Ohaeawai, ' to Mr. Albert Ernest Roy Henwood, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Henwood, of Kaikohe. The Rev. D. E. Connelly performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a picture gown of finest lace and crepe de chine, cut on long flowing lines fitting the hips and finished at the waist with orange blossom. The skirt was arranged with alternate panels of lace and crepe de chine, the latter being finely embroidered with tinsel beads. The veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of pale pink flowers. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Nancy Smith, sister of the bride, who wore a long flowing frock of almond green, and Miss Anne Hows, wearing a gown of autumn-tinted tulle. Both wore coronets of tulle and carried bouquets of autumntinted flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. John Smith, brother of the bride. PLATT—FLYNN. St. Patrick's Church was the scene of the wedding this week of Miss Kathleen Flynn, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Flynn, of Hargreaves Street, Ponsonby, to Mr. Percy Robert Piatt, 1 third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Piatt, of Papakura. Father Buxton performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette with a yoke and deeply scalloped ankle-length hem of silver lace. A basque effect at the waistline was faintly defined at the edge with silver. Her tulle veil, which formed a long train, was bordered with narrow filet lace, and was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white flowers. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Joan Flynn, sister of the brida, who wore a frock of seagreen satin beauto with a flared skirt falling in an uneven hemline, and a vandyked yoke defined with small pink rosebuds. A satin hip bow was held in position with a brilliant clasp. Her green tulic head-dress was bordered with pink rosebuds and she carried a bouquet of golden chrysanthemums. Little Desmond Sullivan, who wore a white suit, carried the bride's train, and little Joyce Gleeson, who was flower girl, was in a frock of shell pink georgette with a pin-tucked bodice and frilled skirt. Her pink tulle head-dress was trimmed with gold braid and she carried a basket of pink flowers The bridegroom was attended by Mr. W. Fryer as best man. Mrs. Flynn, the bride's mother, wore a black silk coat with skunk furs and a black hat trimmed with a white osprey. Mrs. Piatt, mother of the bridegroom, was in a navy blue crepe de chine frock with beige vest, and a navy hat trimmed with pastel-shaded flowers.
