FUNERAL OF A' NURSE.

MISS PALMER, OF TAIHAPE.

[BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAIHAPE, Thursday.

The funeral of Miss Jano Field Palmer, one of the victims of the Sockburn railway crossing tragedy, was held at Taihape to-day. There was a large attendance and the service at the grave was most impressive.

Miss Palmer was the youngest daughter of Mrs. L. C. Palmer, of Taihape, and the late Mr, Palmer. She was 19 years of age.
