DUNEDIN CLUB.
SOCIAL EVENING.
Kindred societies were the guests of tho Dunedin Club at a social evening held yesterday in the club rooms in Wyndham Street. Decorations of streamers hung from the ceiling and golden coloured shades over the lights gave a bright and attractive appearance to the rooms, which was a dded to by the soft and varied colouring of the many pretty frocks which were to be seen. Dancing and cards provided very pleasant entertainment and as they arrived the guests were received by the president, Mr. Townley Little, and the hostess, Mrs. Munro-Clark, the latter wealing a frock of Nile green crepo faille with corsage embroidered in silver and embroidered Spanish shawl. Among those who were present were:— Mrs. Faulkner, who wore frock of black georgette and lace embroidered in pastel shades and a black fringed shawl; Mrs.Smith; green lace and taffeta ' corsage; Mrs. Wright, black lace with a black beaded coat; Mrs. Barclay, apricot satin beaded in silver and crystal; Mrs. H.King, cherry red gold and chenille geor-* gette; Mrs. Ecoles, red georgette; Mrs.: Long, apricot beaded georgette; Ray, patterned satin beaute; Mrs.Johnston, rose georgette; Mrs. Cox, black georgette and black patterned shawl; Mrs. Jeabon, beige and black velvet; Mrs. Dickison, black georgette and lace; Mrs. Allan, blue georgette; Miss Siede? berg, black georgette and gold lace; Mrs. Gow, black ninon and shawl to tone; Mrs. Houlihan, black ring 'velvet frock, with Oriental lame shawl; Mrs: Oliver, mauve georgette; Mrs. C. .Clark, metal and red lace frock, Mrs. Reed, beige crepe do chine and floral lame c'oatee; Miss M. Gray, green and pink taffeta; Miss A, Gray, blue floral taffeta; Miss Ida Lockwood, black georgette; Miss Gordon, pink floral lame; Miss le Feaber., - powder-blue georgette and silver; Miss Lyons, black georgette and lace, with flowered appliques and rose embroidered shawl; Miss MunroClark, rose-pink' lace; Miss King, red georgette; Miss Hawkins, salmon-pink taffeta; Miss Gillespie, embossed chenille georgette; Miss Hamulton, deep rose georgette; Miss Driscoll, lettuce-green ankle-length taffeta; Miss Mac Donald, rose embroidered velvet; Miss Cox, pink taffeta; Miss Singleton, phlox-pink, taffeta and autimn-toned shawl; Miss Aitcheson, black beaded georgette.
