LIBERALS' ATTITUDE.
OFFER OF CO-OPERATION.
NO QUESTION OF COALITION.
(K-eceived Jtina lE. 11.23 p.m.) LONDON, June IS.
All the newspapers reprint- tie substance of the Daily Kerala's exclusive interview with Mr. Lloyd George, which is much discussed in the lobbies cf Parliament.
The Conservative press suggests that though the word " coalition " was carefully avoided by Mr. George he is again seeking a coalition to which the Labour Party will not ccnsent. Labour circles treat Mr. George's suggestions with caution. They say the Prime Minister, Mr. Mac Donald, wiii alwavs insist upon the Government retaining the initiative and responsibility for decisions.
The Labour Party is to meet to-day at the request oi TO members when there will be renewed demands like that oi Sir Oswald Mosley for a more active unemployment policy. The Daily News and Chronicle says: "If the Government- is willing to consult the Liberals about unemployment measures it- will be assured of a firm majority. No cruestion oi a coalition arises.'*
