The weather is sultry and the wicket in good order. The teams are: —

Australia. —Woodfull, Eradman, Kippax, Fairfax, McCabe. A'Beckett, Jackson. Grimmett, Wall, Hurwood and VV

Snrrev.—Hobbs. Sandham, Fender, A Hornj Barling, Shepherd, Wilson, Gregory, Baldwin, Peach, Brooks. Surrey won the toss and elected to bat Hobbs and Sandfcam opened and wtien Hobbs had made 19 runs he was stumped bv Walker, off Grimmett.

Sandham has made 15 and the total :s 34 for one wicket.
