Mr. Mosley, S.M., to-day sentenced Miriam Ada Goodriek, aged 29, a domestic servant, to one year's reformative treatment for attempting, to extort £250 from her former employer, n man 87 years of age, by means of a threatening letter. The police said the woman alleged that she. had been indecently assaulted, and she demanded money. Tho man immediately informed the police, and the woman was trapped. The magistrate said the woman was an absolute danger to the community.
