A warning that all service cars should carry a. plate showing their unladen weight was issued in the Papakura Police Court yesterday, when Holman and Beckett, Limited, were charged with failing to comply with this regulation. Tho traffic inspector said tho prosecution was. tho first of its kind, and lie would not press for a penalty. The defendant company was under the impression that tho regulation did not apply to service cars. The magistrate, Mr. V IT. Levien, S.M., entered a conviction and ordered the payment of 10s costs.
