NINETY-SECOND BIRTHDAY.
MRS. E. R. TAYLOR.: LONG RESIDENCE IN AUCKLAND. Mrs. E. R. Taylor, of 147, Parnell Road, will celebrate her 92nd birthday to-day. Bom at Ivingsclare, Hampshire, Mrs. Taylor came to New Zealand in 1861 on the ship Black Eagle and has lived in Auckland over since. Mrs. Taylor has always taken a keen interest in music and was for 30 years a member of the Auckland Choral Society, being a solo singer. Her husband, who died 25 years ago, was for ninny years connected with Firth's fiourmill, which occupied the position in Queen Street where Winstone Building now stands. • Mrs. Taylor's surviving fqmily consists of three daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. Spraggon, of Devonport. Mrs. George Robinson, of Remuera, Mrs. F. H. Leonard, of Papatoetoe, Messrs. H. B. Taylor, of To Ivniti, and L. J. Taylor and F. J. Taylor, of Christchurch.
