LORRY DRIVER IN COURT*
MAGISTRATE DISMISSES CHARGE.

At the Police Court to-day, John WiU liams, a lorry driver, was charged with dangerous driving. He was also charged with driving a vehicle with defective brakes.
Sergeant Calwell said the prosecution; was brought under the regulation which prohibited a speed of more than ten miles per hour round a bend where the road could not be iseen for more than 40ffv Williams had driven at 15 miles per hou? at the bend. His lorry left the road and a passenger was injured. Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., dismissed the major charge and imposed a fine of 10a and costs on the other charge.
